B’Haalotcha – Echoes Through Scripture

Torah Portion B'Haalotcha

Numbers 8:1 - 12:16

This year we will be going through the Torah portion cycle looking for themes which occur in each Torah portion that recurs throughout the rest of Scripture with a special focus on connecting them to the Apostolic Writings (New Testament).

In B'haalotcha, we will discuss how God desired to fill all of Israel with His spirit, but only the 70 elders plus a few others received the Spirit. This is connected with Acts 2 where the restored Israel receives the Spirit of God on Shavuot/Pentecost.

  1. Awesome teaching Ryan!! I always learn something from your teachings!! I really enjoyed you being on the “Returning to Eden” radio show, subbing for Dinah!! Can’t wait for this coming Wednesday’s show!!
Blessings to Mary and your boys!!

  2. Thank you for this helpful teaching Ryan, but sometime please could you clarify something for me?
When you speak of the the great and glorious day of Yahweh having come at the cross, do you see this as different from a future great and terrible day of wrath?
    Many thanks
    Mary Cayley

    • The NT writers seem to speak of it as both taking place on the cross and a still-future event. Many prophetic events are understood to have multiple fulfillments, and each fulfillment occurs differently. So, yes, I do believe we await another great Day of Yahweh, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be different from what we tend to think of it, lol.
